Members of staff, independent presenters, corps members and students on industrial training attached to Vintage 93.7FM, celebrated in grand style, the birthday of the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Vintage 93.7FM Alhaja Afeesat Abiola Ibrahim Adedoja on Tuesday, the 24th of June, 2025. From the rousing reception upon the arrival of the celebrant to the premises of the radio station at 12:42pm, to her glorious entry into the office, the entire neighbourhood was shaken with thunderous applause that accompanied Alhaja Adedoja.
Radio presenters took turns to celebrate the MD/CEO. First was a general rendition of the birthday song “happy birthday to you”, followed by other songs of joy and thanksgiving. A custodian of culture and well-respected figure among the Yoruba people, Ato Oje, popularly known as Iya Asa, warmed the hearts of everyone with her chants, as she took the celebrant back to her roots in Ogbomoso.
Presenter of the popular programme “Itan Kii Tan” on Vintage 93.7FM, Olanrewaju Olusegun, took the celebratory chants a step further with his strong baritone, by appreciating the positive impact of Ibadan people on the celebrant, as she is married to an Ibadan man. The presenters did not stop at lineage panegyrics, but wrapped up the chants by expressing sincere appreciation to the Almighty God, for sparing the life of Alhaja Afeesat Abiola Adedoja, as John Oyelakin, through his vocal prowess, took the celebrant and all well wishers to the seventh skies.
One of the readers of the station’s two flagship programmes – “Oye La” and O Ka Ma Ma”, Lekan Folarin a.k.a. Asiwaju presenter, offered prayers of thanksgiving to God in the Islamic way and prayed for long life, peace and progress for the celebrant. Also, Hephzibah Olalekan, whose voice has continued to grace the station’s programmes, offered prayers of thanksgiving to God in the Christian way, and prayed for sound health and prosperity for the celebrant.
On her part, the celebrant, MD/CEO Alhaja Afeesat Abiola Ibrahim Adedoja appreciated God for sparing her life to witness another birthday, despite various challenges. She also extended her heartfelt gratitude to everyone attached to the station, for making the media journey easy and interesting, as she prayed for continued success and blessings both for the station and for everyone.
The party ended with loads of foods and drinks, as well as wishes of long life, blessings, favour, prosperity and sound health for the celebrant, MD/CEO, Vintage 93.7FM, Alhaja Afeesat Abiola Ibrahim Adedoja.
